Best Buddies Friendship Walk 2014

There shouldn't be a stop when comes to charity and hence, this will be yet another charity related post that I am going to share over here.  I hope this will not bore you guys away.

It is a charity outing organized by Best Buddies_® Malaysia namely Best Buddies Friendship Walk 2014 that will be held in Malaysia for the very first time.


WHO IS BEST BUDDIES_®?  

Best Buddies_® is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

As a vibrant international organization founded in 1989 by Anthony K. Shriver, Best Buddies_® has grown from one original chapter to almost 1,700 middle schools, high schools and also colleges worldwide and their programs involved participants not only in the United States but also in 50 countries around the world including us in Malaysia.

ABOUT BEST BUDDIES FRIENDSHIP WALK 2014

Best Buddies Friendship Walk 2014, aiming to Change Lives, as participants walk for Inclusion, Friendship, Leadership, and opportunity for people with and without Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

In the Best Buddies Friendship Walk Malaysia, their goal is to generate awareness and also to showcase the program to other schools, universities and corporations so that they too would adopt this program and help in spreading the vision of a Malaysian that actively practices INCLUSION. 

This healthy and meaningful charity event will be held on 06 SEPTEMBER 2014, SATURDAY starting from 4:30PM at TAMAN TASIK PERMAISURI.

And the Agenda of the event or activities flow for the day would be as follows:

HOW TO PARTICIPATE?  

Just click HERE, complete the particulars accordingly and make payment via online.  Participating fees will be RM30/- (Student) or RM40/- (Public/Non-Student) and all participants will receive a limited edition Best Buddies T-shirt together with a wristband for the said event.

Meanwhile for those of you who prefer to pay by cash or cheque other than online, can always contact the Best Buddies Malaysia Committee Members or Mr. Kelvin Yong at 012-2285562 for manual registration.

Remember what I mentioned in my earlier post that no one in this world opt to be born imperfect and with just as little as RM40/-, we can change a life of these unfortunate people to have better future and living.  As I always remind myself that it is definitely better to GIVE than to TAKE.
