JLBuzzBee: Launching of the Popobe® Bola Bears by Domino’s Pizza

In conjunction with the More Pizza More Football campaign, Domino's Pizza, the world's leading pizza delivery company has officially launched their limited edition bears called the Popobe® Bola Bears on 11 June 2014, Wednesday and I was one of the lucky bloggers being invited to the launching that was successfully held at the Tropicana Golf & Country Club.

I am very sure that Domino's Pizza is nothing new to anyone of you but do you know that Domino's Pizza Malaysia is the Gold Franny Award winner for four (4) consecutive years since 2009. Besides, Domino's Pizza Malaysia and Singapore also received the "HR Asia Best Companies to Work for in Asia 2013" an award by HR Asia. And most recently, Domino's Pizza Malaysia with a total of 114 stores in our country as at today has also won Bronze in the "Restaurant & Fast Food" category of the prestigious Putra Brand Awards 2014.

Back to the exclusive launching of Domino's latest collectible premium, the Popobe® Bola Bears. With the presents of the residents from Good Samaritan Home and Rumah Anak Yatim Sg. Buaya Kuala Langat, the Medias and invited guests, the launch was kicked start with an introduction of the event by the MC of the day, Mr. Haniff Hamzah from ERA FM before a warm Welcome Speech given by the President of Domino's Pizza Malaysia & Singapore, Mr. Ba U Shan-Ting.

In the speech, Mr. Ba U Shan-Ting highlighted that these specially designed Popobe® Bola Bears namely Pedro, Juan and Eva would be the perfect football companions and they will only be around for a limited time of six (6) weeks and hence, be sure to collect them all while stocks last.

Besides, Mr. Ba U Shan-Ting also introduced Domino's new BBQ Baked Meatballs representing yet another addition to the pizza maker's varied menu offers. These perfectly baked 100% beef meatballs that drizzled with delicious smoky BBQ sauce is now available as an add-on for only RM8.80 with any pizza purchase or à la carte for RM10.80.

After the opening speech by the President of Domino's Pizza Malaysia & Singapore, Cik Hasfahlinda Hassan, the Senior Marketing Manager of Domino's Pizza Malaysia and Singapore was also called on stage together with the selected children from Good Samaritan Home and Rumah Anak Yatim Sg Buaya Kuala Langat for a photograph session.

Next on the program list was the Prize Giving Ceremony to the winners of the Domino's Kickoff Online Contest that ran from 28 April to 01 June 2014 with the Grand Prize went to Mr. Peck Chin Fai who walked away with an all-expense paid trip for two to Brazil that worth more than RM34,000.00. Meanwhile, the weekly champions went to Mr. Chee Hin Kiat, Mr. Putra Danish, Mr. Hafiz Haruddin, Mr. Cowan Toh and Ms. Szeleng Cheu.

Mr. Ba U Shan-Ting who presented the mock boarding pass said, "For their love of football and Domino's Pizza, we would like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to all our winners here today. Domino's Kickoff Online Contest also gave us a platform from which to proudly present the latest additions to our menu, our BBQ Baked Meatballs and the Smoky Blended BBQ range featuring three new pizzas - Chickensaurus, Smoky Beef N’ Chick and Smoky Pepperoni & Mushroom.”

The event was then continued with the Q&A session opened to the floor and ended with a light refreshment after the MC had given the closing note.
